Email Verification

The Email Verification section of Auth Settings.

  • Require email verification — new self-registered users must click a verification link before they can log in.
  • When on, pick a SMTP Server from your project’s existing SMTP integrations (configured under Configuration) — this section doesn’t take a host/port/credentials directly, it only selects one you’ve already set up.
⚠️

If no SMTP configs exist yet, you’ll see a prompt to Add SMTP config, which takes you to Configuration to create one first.

Common issues

  • No SMTP Server option to select — You need at least one SMTP integration configured under Configuration first; use the Add SMTP config link shown here.
  • Verification emails not arriving — Check the selected SMTP config’s settings under Configuration; confirm it’s active and its credentials are still valid.
