Invite teammates & assign roles
By the end of this page you will understand how to invite team members and assign them appropriate roles.
Prerequisites
- A qRaptor workspace (Your workspace).
- Owner or Admin role in the workspace.
- A Team or Enterprise plan (invitations require a Team plan or higher).
Team invitations are available on the Team plan ($149/mo) and above. Individual plans (Free, App Lite, Starter, Pro) are single-user or limited-seat. Upgrade from Settings → Billing → Plans if needed.
Understanding roles
qRaptor uses role-based access control (RBAC) with three workspace-level roles:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access. Manage billing, members, and all resources. Transfer ownership. |
| Admin | Manage members, projects, and all project resources. Cannot change billing or transfer ownership. |
| Developer | Build agents and apps, manage data, deploy. Cannot manage workspace members. |
At the project level, you can further refine access with custom roles defined in the project’s Teams section.
Assign the principle of least privilege. Start teammates as Developers and promote to Admin only when needed.
Viewing your team
Navigate to team settings
Go to Settings (click your avatar → Settings), then select the Team tab.

Review current members
The Team page shows:
- Active Members — People currently in your workspace with their role, status, and join date.
- Pending Invitations — Invitations that haven’t been accepted yet.
- Role Permissions — Summary of what each role can do.
Inviting members (Team plan and above)
Ensure you have a Team plan
If you see “Team invitations require a Team plan”, click Upgrade to Team Plan or navigate to Settings → Billing → Plans.
Send an invitation
Once on a Team plan, click the Invite member button. Enter the teammate’s email and select their role (Owner, Admin, or Developer).
Teammate accepts the invite
Your teammate receives an email with a link to join your workspace. Once they click the link and sign in (or create an account), they appear in your members list.

Common issues
- “Team invitations require a Team plan” — Upgrade to Team or Enterprise plan from billing settings.
- Invite email not received — Check spam folders. Ensure the email address is correct.
- Cannot change someone’s role — Only Owners and Admins can modify roles. Owners cannot be demoted by Admins.
